Small White Handmade Pottery Plate with Midsummer Flower Design
A pretty white handmade ceramic plate that is encircled with rainbow coloured flowers that are inspired by the flowers in my garden on a midsummers evening. Perfect for cake but it can also be used as a side plate at the table, for breakfast, bread or deserts. An ideal gift as part of a breakfast or tea set.
The plate showcases the intricate detailing of a slip and sgraffito technique, with the stems of the flowers being etched through the white slip and into the clay.
They are hand thrown in my garden studio in Sevenoaks, Kent, UK and are glazed with a food safe transparent glaze on the inside and down to the ‘flowerbed’ on the outside. The section below remains unglazed. My maker’s mark is stamped on the base.
• Approximate dimensions: diameter 17 - 18 cm, height 2 - 3 cm.
• I make each plate myself so please expect some variation in size, shape, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
