Pre Order Small White Handmade Pottery Flower Brick with Midsummer Flower Design #1
A delicately decorated handmade flower brick which has a white background and is encircled by rainbow coloured flowers dancing across the surface.
The design is inspired by my own garden on a summers evening, comes to life through the meticulous slip and sgraffito technique used. The stems of the colourful flowers are etched through the white slip and into the clay, stopping at the raw earth coloured clay towards the base.
Whether as a gift to yourself or a thoughtful present for a loved one, this flower brick serves as a cherished reminder of the beauty found within nature's embrace. It will adds a touch of contemporary sophistication to any space, making it an fabulous addition to both classic and modern interiors.
The flower bricks are hand thrown with an off white, gently stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel in my garden studio in Kent, UK. It has a removeable lid, with a tiny knob so that it can easily be moved, and the inside can be accessed. It has 11 holes for flowers . The clay is fired with a transparent glaze inside and out so that it is watertight. My maker’s mark is stamped onto the base.
These will be available to post in 4 - 5 weeks, around 23rd June.
• Approximate dimensions: height 6 cm, diameter 11 cm
• I make each vase myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.
• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
