Handmade Japandi Style Pottery Mug with Indigo and Brown Brushed Decoration

£35.00

This hand thrown stoneware ceramic mug show cases indigo and brown brushed decoration, impressed flowers and a mark made by dried flower stems from the countryside that inspires my work. I have deliberately left marks that are made during the process of making on the beaker, and applied other ones, to emphasise the plasticity of the clay when it is wet. These manipulations increase the tactile quality of the beaker, and enrich your experience while you are drinking.

Once biscuit fired, I apply a transparent glaze inside and out, and it is fired to stoneware temperatures. These mugs are made with a dark coloured clay.

• Approximate dimensions: Diameter at top 7 - 8 cm, height 8 - 9 cm, capacity 225 - 250 ml / 7 - 8 fl. oz

• Free UK delivery

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
