Large White Handmade Oval Pottery Vase with Midsummer Flower Design
Give the gift of midsummer flowers to someone you love, or to yourself. The handmade ceramic vase has a white to off white background and is encircled by delicate rainbow coloured flowers. The design is inspired by the joy and vibrancy of my own garden on a midsummers evening, with flowers in full bloom.
The vases are hand crafted with meticulous care and I use a slip and sgraffito technique so that the stems of the colourful flowers are etched through the white slip and into the clay beyond.
The vases are thrown by hand on my potters wheel with an off white coloured stoneware clay in my garden studio in Kent, UK. The clay is fired with a transparent glaze both inside and out, with the detailing at the base being left unglazed. My maker’s mark is stamped into the base of the vase. This oval shaped vase has been squeezed from a round shape into an oval, so there may be some variation between base and top.

• Capacity (approximate) to top: 1.5 litres/ 48 fl. oz. liquid
• I make each vase myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions of the product that you will receive.
• Dishwasher safe
• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
